Professional Experience & Areas of FocusAs a Trust Officer for Fifth Third's Private Bank, Megan draws upon the resources of Fifth Third to help clients grow and preserve their wealth, and to ensure their wishes, as outlined within their trust documents, are implemented. Megan does this by gaining a thorough understanding of her clients’ goals and priorities, and then partnering closely with her clients’ personal attorneys and accountants in order to deliver a customized wealth transfer plan. In addition, she involves other specialists within the Private Bank to provide comprehensive wealth management capabilities that help clients meet all of their financial goals.
Megan began her career in the financial services industry in 1999 and is familiar with all types of trust, tax and wealth planning strategies, as well as the legal responsibilities of being a trustee. Prior to taking on the role as Trust Officer, Megan spent five years as a Trust auditor, where she became the lead auditor of the Trust Company audits. While in that role, she identified potential risk items, and worked with top Trust Company Management to identify and implement mitigating internal controls.
