As Wealth Management advisor, Erich serves as your wealth management coordinator and consultant.  Erich collaborates closely with you and an experienced team of Fifth Third specialists to deliver the right investment solutions for your objectives.

Professional Experience

Erich VanRavenswaay is a strategic finance and wealth management leader with deep experience building systems, teams, and planning frameworks that drive long-term value. He has led large-scale work across financial services, family office environments, and operating companies—including integration of a $75B+ trust platform and advising ultra-high-net-worth families on capital strategy, liquidity planning, and legacy design.

He previously served as Chief Wealth Management Officer at Macatawa Bank, where he led the $1.5B wealth division and helped shape its approach to serving high-net-worth and multi-generational families. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles across ABN AMRO, Bank of America, and U.S. Bank, helping develop and integrate large-scale trust and financial services platforms supporting complex client needs.

Today, his work focuses on helping families navigate complex financial decisions, integrating liquidity strategy, capital deployment, operating business oversight, and long-range planning across multi-generational wealth structures. He has advised an ultra-high-net-worth families through major operating company transactions and ongoing capital strategy across venture and operating businesses.

Erich is known for bringing clarity to complex financial situations and helping families align strategy, capital, and purpose across generations.

Erich holds an MBA from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, graduating with Distinction with concentrations in Finance, Leadership, and Strategy Execution. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Language Arts with a minor in Business Administration from Hope College in Holland, Michigan
