About Joel

Serving the Cincinnati area, Joel provides the personalized investment guidance you need to help make your financial goals a reality. Using a personalized, one-on-one approach, Joel works closely with you to develop an investment plan that works for your unique objectives.
Professional Experience
Joel is the Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Private Bank for the Cincinnati Region, including Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky. In his role, Joel is focused on creating a customized client experience and inviting new families into Fifth Third’s Private Bank. He leads a team of 100 highly credentialed advisors and specialists in the delivery of planning, investment management, banking and advisory services to our clients. The Private Bank’s client base consists of corporate executives, business owners, and successful families.

Prior to assuming his current role, Joel was a Private Bank Director in the Cincinnati region where he led a team of highly trained professionals that provide holistic wealth advice to help simplify financial complexity. He has also served as the Director of Private Banking for Fifth Third Bank’s Kentucky region where he led a team of highly trained private banking professionals in Louisville and Lexington that provides traditional and specialized banking solutions for corporate executives, families, and business owners. Joel has spent his entire professional career at Fifth Third Bank and previous responsibilities include Private Banking Services and Fiduciary Services.
Personal Background
Joel is the Vice Chair and Treasurer of the Cincinnati Ballet Board of Trustees and is a member of the Finance Committee and Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative’s Board of Trustees. Joel is a member of the United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s Foundation Board and an active member of the organization’s Tocqueville Society where he serves as the Co-Chair of First Tuesday. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Dan Beard Council of the Boy Scouts of America and is on the Nominating Committee. In 2013, he was honored by Louisville Business First as a Forty Under Forty recipient. He is also a graduate of Cincinnati USA’s C-Change (Class V) and Leadership Louisville (Class of 2016). Joel, his wife, Lisa, and their two children (Grant and Gabby) live in Hyde Park. He enjoys golf, basketball, fishing, and passionately supporting his beloved University of Michigan Wolverines.
Education
Joel graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA, where he was a Michigan Community Scholar and an elected representative in the Michigan Student Assembly (MSA) where he served on the Budget Priorities Committee (BPC) which is the largest funding body for student organizations. Joel was also the President of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.
